• S.F. sheriff's deputy accused of bullying employees as mayor of small California town (sfchronicle.com) — Patterson city officials have released an investigative report accusing Mayor and San Francisco sheriff's lieutenant Michael Clauzel of bullying and bypassing city procedures, prompting the council to advance disciplinary proceedings. Local union leaders and the Chamber of Commerce president described troubling encounters, while residents questioned potential conflicts as Clauzel, up for reelection in November, defends his behavior as passionate but not malicious.
