• Nevada County Police Blotter: Welfare check requested for male in winter clothing (theunion.com) — Recent sheriff’s calls included a complaint about someone camping on private property along Penn Valley Drive and a report of a deer blocking Highway 20 at the Penn Valley Drive intersection. Other incidents ranged from welfare checks and intoxicated drivers to trespassing and minor animal issues across Nevada County.
