• Perris mom mysteriously found dead in Riverside County ditch — as family demands answers (amedpost.com) — A 39-year-old Perris mother, Caroline Davenport Rios, was found dead in a roadside ditch off Highway 74 near Hemet, and authorities are investigating whether she was the victim of a hit-and-run. Her family, who say she would not have walked along the highway, are pleading for witnesses to come forward with any details about suspicious vehicles or unexplained damage. A GoFundMe has been launched to help cover her burial costs. 
• Convicted Sex Offender Accused Of Molesting 2 In Temecula To Stand Trial (patch.com) — A 31-year-old registered sex offender from Perris, Jacob Brian Paulsen, has been ordered to stand trial after allegedly molesting a girl near a Temecula high school and groping a woman at a nearby mall. A judge found enough evidence to proceed on multiple charges, including lewd acts on a minor, sexual battery, child endangerment, and parole violations. The incidents followed his release from state prison in spring 2025.
