SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Two bodies were found Monday in a home in unincorporated west Petaluma and their deaths are being investigated as suspicious. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office sent deputies to do a welfare check at the home in the 4700 block of Roblar Road after a woman called shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday and told dispatchers she hadn't seen her sister and husband in about a month, the grass was excessively tall and there was mail piling up in the mailbox, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.
When deputies the two people dead inside the home, detectives were called to the scene and determined it was suspicious, Crum said.
Evidence has been collected from the scene and is being processed, the sergeant said.
