2 Oakland Men On Gun, Pimping Charges At Petaluma Hotel: Police

Gene Gleeson and Jivon Clark were arrested on various charges by Petaluma Police as part of a prostitution investigation at a local hotel.

PETALUMA, CA — Two Oakland men were arrested by Petaluma police officers this week after the pair were found to be in possession of guns and were also taken into custody as part of a prostitution investigation near the Quality Inn on Petaluma’s northeast side.

Officers contacted Gene Gleeson and Jivon Clark at the hotel as part of the investigation and both men were arrested on pimping charges as well as weapons charges. Gleeson was found to have a loaded handgun in his pocket. The gun had been reported stolen, according to police, who indicated a second loaded handgun were discovered in the glove box of the men’s vehicle.

Both men were arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of pimping, carrying a loaded firearm in public and commission of a felony while in possession of a firearm. Both were booked into the Sonoma County Jail, but were released as of Thursday.
