2nd Annual Classic Car Show for a Cure at Adobe House was a huge success
The 2nd Annual Classic Car Show for a Cure at Adobe House in support of the Alzheimer's Association was a success!
By Cynthia Ermshar, the community relations manager, at Adobe House in Petaluma.
Petaluma proved yet again why it is such a wonderful community to live in.
There was a Classic Car & Hot Rod Car Show recently at Adobe House which is a memory care community here in Petaluma. Hundreds of people showed up to the car show to show their support. One hundred percent of the proceeds of this event went to support the Alzheimer’s Association and its core mission of Alzheimer’s care, support and research as we approached the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is happened on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Shollenberger Park.

Thank you to Miss Sonoma County Outstanding Teen Katie Gu and Miss Wine Country Rodeo Jennifer Heidemann for their support and attendance along with Petaluma Police Chief Patrick Williams and Petaluma Fire Chief Leonard Thompson, who were two of the judges at the car show.
Thank you also goes out to our amazing sponsors of the event, Accent Care, Heartland Hospice, At Home Nursing and A Place for Mom.

A huge thank you goes out to Roy’s Chicago Dogs at the Yard right here in Petaluma that fed the entire crowd and donated all of their proceeds to the Alzheimer’s Association.
This disease really hits home as I work in the memory care field at Adobe House, a memory care community, and one of the only two stand-alone communities in all of Sonoma County.
Currently, more than 5 million American’s have Alzheimer’s, and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
We had this car show to fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Association’s “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”, which is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
Thank you again to Petaluma for all of your amazing support!
Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
