3 DUI Arrests Made Early Sunday In Petaluma

The suspects are all local residents.

Three men from were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in Petaluma early Sunday morning, according to police.

The first incident was reported at 12:08 a.m. Sunday after a suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Petaluma resident Rafael Serrano, crashed a Nissan Versa into a parked vehicle in the 800 block of Fifth Street, police said. Serrano allegedly fled the scene of the crash and was apprehended by police about two blocks away. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident, according to police.

Then at 12:18 a.m., an officer observed the driver of a Dodge Ram driving erratically and failing to stay in his lane. Rogelio Magana, a 51-year-old Petaluma resident, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

At 5:02 a.m., officers were dispatched to the scene of a crash where a driver had backed into a parked vehicle in the 700 block of Western Avenue. Jesus Zendejas Martinez, a 47-year-old Petaluma resident, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license, police said.
