Alphabet Soup Expanding into Former Jacqueline's High Tea Location

Second shop will focus on home decor items

 

Alphabet Soup Thrift Shop, which uses sales proceeds to support local schools, has announced that it's expanding into the space formerly occupied by Jacqueline's High Tea.

The shop first opened in 1994 and is run by the Petaluma Educational Foundation, which awards thousands in educational grants and scholarships to local students.

The new location at 203 Western Avenue will focus on home decor items including furniture, cookware/kitchen, art, electronics, books, music and seasonal items. 

Alphabet Soup employs about 70 staff and volunteers and is planning to add new positions with the opening of the second location.
