• California layoffs hit longtime factory shutting down after years of production (latination.com) — Amy's Kitchen is closing its Santa Rosa factory and shifting production to Oregon and Idaho, but the company's headquarters will stay in Petaluma. Hundreds of regional jobs will be affected through 2027, with phased layoffs and some severance and job-placement help promised to workers as the frozen-food maker consolidates operations.
   

• Dixon firm joins in urging Newsom to sign reform bill on website privacy (thereporter.com) — A Petaluma roofing and solar business owner is among small firms urging Gov. Gavin Newsom to sign SB 690, which would curb certain privacy lawsuits over routine website tracking tools. She says a recent six‑figure claim under California's Invasion of Privacy Act pressured her to quietly settle, and hopes the bill will protect other local businesses from similar litigation.
