The Social Contractors will be performing an upbeat blend of melodic original rock and their own spin classic covers you know and love from the 60s-90s (Beatles, Doors, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Men At Work, Police, Steely Dan, U2, and more).
The Social Contractors lineup for this live performance features band founder and songwriter, Jason E Davies (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitar), Travis Thayer (sax/keys/vocals), Rob Neidel (bass/vocals), and Chris Oatman (drums).
Whether you like melodic vocals, searing guitar and sax solos, intriguing lyrics, captivating songs, or just great dynamic and danceable rhythms, The Social Contractors won't disappoint.

Petaluma Downtown Station

Petaluma Urban Chat and Transbay Coalition, in partnership with Seamless Bay Area, Petaluma Transit, Sonoma County Transit, Sonoma-Marin Area Transit, and Redwood Bikeshare, are thrilled to be hosting a Petaluma Transit Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, September 19th from 1 pm to 4 pm. Explore Petaluma, meet fellow transit lovers and advocates and learn more about what's going on with Transit in Petaluma.&nbsp;
We will have prizes for those who get the most points on the scavenger hunt, so GAME ON. Meet at the Petaluma Downtown SMART station, bring a phone to take photos for the hunt and come prepared to ride transit and have fun! To register and for more information on our event, see our event page.

Description:	Participants will meet at the Petaluma Downtown SMART Station and be provided a scavenger hunt activity list of transit related items to photograph and transit questions to answer. Participants will make a loop on local transit and then regroup to announce the winners and hear from our speakers, Mayor Kevin McDonnell and Petaluma Transit Manager Maria Arce, on some transit related topics.&nbsp; Some activities will take place near the SMART station and some as we are riding transit.&nbsp; Volunteers will be available to help folks who are new to transit learn how to use it.
Here’s your itinerary for the event!
<ul><li>1:00 pm:&nbsp; Attendees meet at Downtown Petaluma SMART Station and are put into teams</li><li>1:53 pm: Take Northbound train from Downtown station to Petaluma North Station ($1.50 fare, free for youths and seniors)</li><li>1:58 pm:&nbsp; Arrive at Petaluma North Station</li><li>2:16 pm: Take Sonoma County Transit Route 44 bus from N. McDowell &amp; Rand to Petaluma Transit Mall ($1.50 fare, half for seniors, free for youths)</li><li>2:29 pm:&nbsp; Arrive at Petaluma Transit Mall</li><li>3:00 pm:&nbsp; Walk to Grand Central Petaluma for a visit with your fellow riders, light refreshments, and the event wrap up and speakers</li><li>4:00 pm:&nbsp; Event ends</li></ul>

For the first time in several years, Petaluma artist Roberta Ahrens is opening a new gallery/studio at The Watershed in Petaluma's historic Warehouse District, giving collectors and neighbors a place to see her original paintings and large-scale work in person.


The space showcases her Contemporary Botanicals and Water Series paintings. It is also the kind of intimate setting where visitors can get close enough to observe her personally crafted Cracked Linen material, which photographs flatten, but rewards proximity.


Ahrens has spent her career making work at architectural scale, most of it installed in places the public never gets to walk into. The Watershed showroom changes that. It is a home base built to welcome people in, with room to hang paintings at the size they were meant to be seen and light that does them justice.



“This is the first time in a long time that I’ve had the freedom and the space to meet, greet and love on the folks that have been following me for so many years, as well as new people just coming to know my work. It gives me the chance to show work that most people have never seen before,” Ahrens said. “On top of that is that the entire Watershed space is a truly beautiful environment and an exciting thriving community.”




The public is invited to an opening reception for Ahrens’ studio as well as several artist studios and galleries in the WTRSHD complex and The Magic Shop. The event takes place Saturday

September 26 from 4pm to 7pm. Private visits may be arranged by appointment at 707.582.2098
