• Antisemitic Pamphlets Distributed In Petaluma Neighborhood (patch.com) — Police are investigating antisemitic pamphlets left overnight in driveways in an East Petaluma neighborhood, calling it a hate-related incident that does not currently threaten specific people or places. Officers are canvassing for surveillance footage and witnesses, and residents with information are urged to contact Petaluma police at 707-778-4372.
• 72-year-old outsmarted her family to build the retirement life she wanted (latination.com) — A 72-year-old Petaluma resident, Kathie Schwartz, invested about $280,000 and a year of permitting to build a modern tiny house behind her primary home instead of moving to a retirement community. The space now hosts classes, visitors, and could one day house a caregiver, illustrating how some Petalumans are rethinking aging and independence on their own property.
• Flag football: Windsor wins 10th game in row; Rancho Cotate stays hot (pressdemocrat.com) — Petaluma High's flag football team notched a 32-19 win over St. Helena and now sits 6-3 in league, 8-5 overall in the VVAL race. The roundup also highlights dominant wins by Windsor, Rancho Cotate, and Cardinal Newman, plus updated league standings that show where Petaluma stacks up against Sonoma Valley, Vintage, and other rivals.
