And The Trophy Goes To...

As we all know this year's Salute to American Graffiti  has come and gone, bringing in hundreds of beautiful classic cars into Petaluma. Paying homage George Lucas' iconic 1972 film, Salute to American Graffiti, the Salute event supports many local charitable causes in town.

Every year we sponsor a trophy and this year we put Elsie and Russell Montoya in charge of choosing the emortgages.com 2014 trophy winner.  Elsie is the Administrative Assistant of emortgages.com and she and her husband Russell are classic car fans, so they were the perfect choice for finding our trophy recipient.

They walked the entire downtown and finally settled on a 1968 Chevy El Camino. As luck would have it, the car is owned by fellow Petalumans, Gail and Ron McCulloch.  Ron wasn’t around at the time to accept his trophy, but his wife Gail and their granddaughter were happy to do the honors.

Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti pours a lot of money back into Petaluma. Salute to American Graffiti funds local scholarships and has purchased equipment for our local emergency services, among other things.
