Another 7-Eleven in Petaluma?

7-Eleven is the typical convenience store.

You can stock up on gum, chips and hot dogs when passing through, use the bathroom and ATM and buy a Slurpee.

Petaluma already has five of them: at Petaluma Boulevard South and Fourth, on Washington and Howard, on North McDowell near Old Redwood Highway and two more at Perry Lane near the marina and on Lakeville Highway.

But this month, a new 7-Eleven opened in Petaluma on North McDowell and East Washington, next to a 76 Unocal, delighting some residents and drawing criticism from others.

What do you think? Are six 7-Elevens for a town our size too many? What else would you have liked to see at that location?
