Architect Links Historic Buildings, Design, Zero Carbon At Petaluma Event Tonight

PETALUMA, CA — Architect and author Carl Elefante will explore how historic preservation, sustainable design, and urban planning can help communities work toward a lower-carbon future during a talk this evening in Petaluma.

Elefante, a former president of the American Institute of Architects, will discuss his book “Going for Zero” from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Polly Klaas Community Theater, 417 Western Ave.

The event will examine connections between buildings, climate action, and the future of communities, with time for audience questions.

Tickets also include an invitation to join Elefante for community walks through downtown Petaluma and a nearby neighborhood. Organizers have planned walks for Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning and are sharing details directly with ticket holders.
