Armed Robbery Reported Near Casa Grande High School: Petaluma PD
A driver was held up at gunpoint near the entrance to the school, police said.
PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police are investigating an armed robbery reported Sunday in the parking lot of Casa Grande High School.
The incident was reported by a 911 caller at 8:17 p.m. Sunday. The caller, a passerby, reported hearing a man yelling for help at the entrance to the high school, 333 Casa Grande Road.
The victim told the passerby that someone had just stolen his money. The victim then drove to a different location and called police himself.

The victim reported that shortly before the 911 call, he was driving on Casa Grande Road when he was flagged down by an unidentified man at the entrance to the school, asking for help. When the victim stopped and rolled down his window, the suspect pointed a black semi-automatic gun at him and demanded his money and his phone, police said.
"The suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet before leaving on foot in an unknown direction," police said. "The suspect was described as a white male adult in his 20s with dark hair, wearing a flannel shirt."
