If you’re staying in town this weekend, there are plenty of things going on.
Here are a couple of our favorites.
On Friday, round up the kids, grab a blanket and snacks and head to Lucchesi Park for . This week’s movie is Thor, a PG-13 tale of an arrogant warrior who is cast out of the fantastical realm of Asgard and sent to live on Earth, where he learns humility and becomes a defender of human beings. Movie screens at dusk, but is preceded by games and music. Free.

On Saturday, get your butt into a kayak and explore the Petaluma River as the sun sets. Clavey Paddle Sports offers a unique tour of the local marshlands where bird life is abundant and that are only navigable during certain times of the year. The trip ends at an old duck hunters cabin. $90/person; $65 with own kayak.
On Sunday, it’s the 11th Annual Art & Garden Festival, a showcase of local artistic and horticultural splendor spread out along Fourth Street between B Street and Western Avenue.

As the name implies, the festival honors locally made art, garden accessories, fine crafts and handmade jewelry, food and wine. Free to attend; Tasting packages $20.
