Authorities ID Driver Who Died In Stony Point Road Crash
A Petaluma man has been identified as the driver who died in a head-on collision south of Cotati.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol has identified a driver who was killed in a head-on collision near Cotati Tuesday as Herbert Robison, 77, of Petaluma.
Roger Coryell, 60, of Guerneville, was driving a GMC Yukon around 4:10 p.m. when he crossed over double yellow lines on Stony Point Road near West Railroad Avenue and struck Robison's GEO Tracker, CHP officials said.
Robison and a dog in the back seat of Coryell's vehicle died at the scene, and Coryell was taken to a hospital.

CHP Officer David deRutte said alcohol did not play a part in the crash.
