Bank Robber Sought By Petaluma Police
A Petaluma bank was robbed Thursday and the suspect was at large.

PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department released a surveillance image of a suspected bank robber in the hopes someone in the public may recognize the man.
At 1:10 p.m. Thursday, police were notified that an alarm was activated at Exchange Bank at 453 N. McDowell Blvd. in the Deer Creek Village shopping center.
Officers responded to the bank and confirmed with employees that the bank was just robbed. Just before the alarm, a man entered the bank and approached a teller, according to police. The suspect handed the teller a demand note for money and was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

Bank employees told police they did not see any weapons on the suspect. He was seen walking southbound through the shopping center, then southbound on Lynch Creek Way toward the Lynch Creek Trail.
Police searched the area but did not find the robber.

The suspect was described as a white male in his late teens to mid-20s, between 5 feet 4 and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a light gray hoodie, a dark face mask, dark pants and dark shoes.
