Bay Area To Receive 'Decent Showering' Thursday

The rain is expected to reach anywhere from a quarter of an inch to a half an inch.

Rain in the Bay Area is expected to reach anywhere from a quarter of an inch to a half an inch Thursday, according to National Weather Service officials.

The amount of rain may be slightly higher in coastal elevated areas, particularly in parts of Sonoma County, weather service forecaster Bob Benjamin said.

The rain should last until the early evening and is not part of a major front, Benjamin said.
