Coast Guard Auxiliary Offers the “ Boat America Safety Class.”
Petaluma, CA: The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will present “Boat
America,” a boating certificate class scheduled for Saturday, September
27, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Hosted and taught by professional and experienced
Instructors from Sonoma County Flotilla 55.
Learn basic boating, boating laws, navigation, emergency procedures,
communications, trailering, storing, and protecting your boat. Discover how
to remain safe during water skiing, PWC operation, and other boating tips.
Successful completion meets the requirements for a California Boating
Card. As of January 1, 2025, the California Boating Card is required
for all motorized vessel operators, regardless of age.
