Couple Found Dead Inside Petaluma Home: Police
Their deaths were discovered Thursday morning, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — The deaths of a man and a woman in their Petaluma home were being investigated as a possible murder-suicide, police said.
A distraught woman called the Petaluma Police Department at 9:53 a.m. Thursday and reported finding both her parents dead, Petaluma police Lt. Ed Crosby said.
Officers were sent to the couple's home in the 1600 block of Shenandoah Court — near Rainier Avenue and Sonoma Mountain Parkway — and the first officer arrived on scene within 1 minute, Crosby said.

Both the man and woman suffered apparent gunshot wounds and were confirmed to be deceased.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office responded and is expected to release the couple's identities once their next of kin are properly notified.

Police recovered a gun from inside the home and believe it may have been the one used in the fatal incident.
"The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released as it is confirmed," Crosby said.
