Crews Halt Sears Fire In Sonoma County

The wildfire broke out near Sears Point in southern Sonoma County, according to Cal Fire.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A wildfire broke out Wednesday morning near Sears Point along state Highway 37 in southeastern Sonoma County but forward progress was quickly stopped, Cal Fire said.

The Sears Fire was 15 acres and 20-percent contained at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, and aircraft was being released, according to Cal Fire's Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit.
