CVS Robber Makes Off With Prescription Medicine: Petaluma Police
Police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect in a robbery at CVS on N. McDowell Boulevard.

PETALUMA, CA — A suspect is sought in the robbery Tuesday night of a CVS pharmacy in Petaluma, according to a news release from the Petaluma Police Department. At about 8:30 p.m., a man who appeared to white and between 35 and 40 years old got in line at the CVS pharmacy at 291 N. McDowell Blvd. and waited until he was called to the counter, then handed a note to the pharmacy clerk, police said.
The note demanded prescription medication and indicated no one would be hurt if the demand was met, according to Petaluma police Sgt. Rick Cox.
The clerk complied and gave the suspect prescription medication, then left the store and went in an unknown direction, Cox said.

The suspect had a goatee, was about 6 feet tall and weighed around 300 pounds, the sergeant said.
"The incident was captured on surveillance cameras," Cox said. "If anyone recognizes the suspect or has any information, they are encouraged to contact Corporal Sawyer at 707-781-1248."

Surveillance images of the suspect released by police show he also wore a hat, a backpack and gloves, and possibly, sunglasses.
