Doll Show Auction to Honor Old Bodega Doll Museum

Doll show benefits Santa Rosa Living Room with Auction honoring Charlene Weber's Doll Museum in Bodega.

Doll Show November 6, 2016
A local Doll Club will be sponsoring their annual Doll Show at the Santa Rosa Veterans Building Sunday, November 6, 2016. Besides dealers and collectors offering thousands of dolls and collectable toys for sale, the Doll Show also benefits The Living Room, a women’s homeless day shelter in Santa Rosa. This year a very special auction will be held in memory of Charlene Weber who owned Charlene’s Yesterdays’ Museum in Bodega Bay about thirty years ago. It was closed when she passed away. All the money raised will go towards The Living Room.

Charlene Weber’s family has donated a complete set of Marie Osmond Wizard of Oz dolls in honor of their mother’s collection and her love of dolls. Charlene opened her museum in the 1970’s and it was a travel stop for years in the quaint town of Bodega. Charlene had more than 2,000 dolls in her collection and enjoyed sharing them with visitors.
The Redwood Empire Doll and Study Club has sponsored a Doll Show for more than 30 years. The club has donated thousands of dollars over the years to various charities in the area. The club belongs to the United Federation of Doll Clubs and has members from all over Sonoma County. For more information about the show call Kitti at 707 326 0322 or go to santarosadollshow.blogspot.com on the web.
