Come plant a helping hand to grow a lifetime of community through this event put on by Conservation Corps North Bay's AmeriCorps team at Petaluma Bounty Community Farm! Between 10am and 1pm volunteers will learn a wide range of gardening practices including pruning, harvesting, weed management, and help us raise the roof on the Petaluma Bounty Farm outdoor classroom. Children of all ages are welcome to volunteer as well and to visit our Kids Zone where they can explore health and nutrition lessons and games on the farm with trained Teacher Naturalists.
Not interested in volunteering? Bring your friends and family between 1pm and 3pm to join in an array of fun farm activities. Health and Family Services will arrive in style with a mobile health unit to answer any health care questions and provide basic health care needs such as blood pressure tests, diabetes checks, and more. Also boost your health and happiness by participating in group activities which may include group fitness classes, live music, raffle prizes, arts and crafts, food and more!
Thanks to our supporters healthy lunches will be provided for all volunteers and snacks provided for all farm supporters that stop by. We will bring the food and even a Smoothie Bike! But please help our AmeriCorps team to create a low waste event by bringing your own cups, plates, and utensils.
