Enjoy Sara Bell's art show, A Year On The Ranch, where she depicts life on a cattle ranch with realistic drawings and bold, abstract silkscreen images inspired by the landscape around her, old fences, animals and Sara’s children.
During a year spent living on a cattle ranch in Lakeville, CA, Sara Bell became fascinated by the landscape around her. There were many fascinating old fences, animals and Sara’s children. Thus she was inspired to create a series of images combining sensitive, realistic drawings and bold, abstract silkscreen images. The combination of techniques and emotional moments combine in Sara’s work to capture a unique vision of life on a ranch.

Sara is a mother of two young children and life long artist. As a child, Sara’s mother observed that drawing was the only thing that would calm her down. This eventually led to a lifelong passion for drawing, painting and printmaking. She hopes to pass this on to both her children and the world.
In addition to her original works, Sara offers commissioned portrait services, affordable reproductions of her images and sketch portrait events. Please contact her at sara@simplelinesstudio.com or 707-772-7634.

Sara says about her art:
I love creating a series of similar, changing images in any form of printmaking. My current method is to create a series of monotype silkscreen images which I then embellish with drawings. The technique creates wonderful layers that imply the levels beyond what we see in a given moment. This takes an image out of the simple depiction of a time, place or object and celebrates the mystery of capturing a piece of a continuing story.
