The Environmental Forum of Marin presents its second 2012 Seminar Series class on Energy on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Hospice by the Bay in Larkspur.

Join Marin’s leading environmental educators on Saturday morning to continue our conversation about energy and learn more about the changes, challenges and choices facing all of us.

Speakers

Joseph Caggiano, Senior Consultant for Technology Projects, Chevron Energy Technology Company, will outline the capacity of traditional sources of fossil fuels and electricity, and look at current energy trends in California.

Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Atmosphere/Energy Program at Stanford University, will examine the potential of alternative energy sources and barriers to their adoption.

Jamie Tuckey, Communications Director of Marin Energy Authority, will discuss efforts to increase the availability of renewable energy in Marin County.

Napollo Gomez-Somer, Energy Upgrade Specialist, Ecology Action, will present ways in which individuals and organizations can reduce energy usage and switch to renewable sources.
