Members of the public will hear a presentation on the 2010 Water Management Plan and have a chance to ask questions. Water usage has gone down in the past five years, while the number of residential and business accounts has increased. Despite this, the water agency will raise water rates by 5 percent starting next year.
The plan also discusses how to prepare for periods of drought and create incentives for reduced water consumption.
Also on the agenda, a resolution continuing the city's living wage rate of $12.46 per hour for city employees if they also contribute toward medical benefits and $14.20 per hour for those that don't. The living wage rate only applies to certain city employees and not those employed in the private sector.
