Observing problems such as anxiety, stress, sleeplessness, ADD and wanting to be part of the solution, Shirley of Inner Health and Stillness was inspired to create her newest project “Commit to Sit”, a 30 day program where she invites her students to sit in meditation each day for 1 minute or 1 hour…whatever their particular abilities may be. The intention of this program, which begins April 1, 2011, is to inspire each student to take the challenge with her and find out for themselves the benefits of committing to 30 days of meditation practice and keeping it going. The participants can choose whatever time of day or wherever they will perform their meditation commitment...at home, in their office or a park bench. They will not, however, be alone in their commitment as Gillitti will be offering not only daily support in the form of access to a private daily two-way BLOG to receive inspiration and instructions along with a weekly theme to enhance sitting experience and knowledge, but also her ‘Guided Sitting Meditation’ CD. Gillotti came by the phrase, “Commit to Sit” while reading one of her favorite magazines, Tricycle, who coined the phrase.
