Fine Art for Kids (age 9 and up)

This class is a fun introduction to the world of fine art. Working with acrylic, pastel, pencil, pen, watercolor, charcoal and clay, kids will explore techniques and styles learning from old masters like DaVinci, Matisse, and Picasso as well as contemporary artists. They’ll have so much fun creating portraits, landscapes, still life and figure drawings that they won’t even realize they’ve had a dose of art history.

Mark Edwards has been teaching art in the Bay Area for 20 years including the EXCEL program at Sonoma State. He has illustrated three children’s books.
