Invite your friends and family for a free tour of Scott
Ranch in Petaluma!
You will meet the landowner, Tom Scott, and Ranch Manager, Scott Gerber (aka "the singing cowboy") and learn about rangeland management and land stewardship, including topics such as soil health, native grasses and rotational grazing. We'll hear about the history of the ranch and take a brief walk to enjoy vistas of the property. The Ranch Manager, with help from his border collies, will demonstrate how to herd cattle. In 2002, the Sonoma
County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District (SCAPOSD) worked with the landowner to protect this 533 acre property for scenic quality and viewshed.
This event is FREE! Due to limited space, reservations are required.
