Activist Norman Solomon to Address Local Congregation

Norman Solomon will speak at the Unitarian Universalists of Petaluma (UUP) on Sunday, August 21st at 10:30 a.m.

Solomon is a peace activist, media critic, and avid environmentalist. The author of 12 books, including Made Love, Got War: Close Encounters with America’s Warfare State; War Made Easy: How Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death, and Target Iraq: What the News Media Didn’t Tell You, he is a nationally syndicated columnist on media and politics. His articles have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today and many other newspapers.

Solomon is the founder and executive director of the Institute for Public Accuracy. He is a recipient of the George Orwell Award, which honors distinguished contributions to honesty and clarity in public language.

UUP is a community of religiously liberal people with shared values working together to establish an atmosphere of principled seeking and ethical living on a daily basis. Their services are held at the Petaluma Woman’s Club, 518 B St., Petaluma, each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
