Due Zighi Baci (Two Gypsy Kisses) presents Panini on a Croissant – a concert of music from the boulevards of Paris and Rome at Aqus Café (189 H Street) in Petaluma, 7 p.m. on September 16.
Panini on a Croissant is a compilation of European café style melodies that represent the passionate French chanson (song) of Parisian dance halls and the sweet romantic rhythms of coastal Italian canzone (song).
This concert celebrates some of the more popular melodies of these two exciting cultures, noted Sheri Mignano, Due Zighi Baci’s accordionist. She and tenor Michael Van Why play original songs and create arrangements that take audiences to another time and place.
