Prodding a Rag Rug

Prodding is the traditional way to make a rag into a rug. Allegra will demonstrate this simple and safe technique - using old blankets, cotton, denim, or recycled wool clothing. Come and learn how to recycle discarded clothing and other left-over materials into fabulous rugs just as our ancestors did. Each student will experiment with technique, color and design and take home a 12"x12" square piece. Ages 12+.
