West Side Stories believes that everyone has a story. Our goal is to give those stories a forum. Following the success of stand-up comics telling their stories, Dave Pokorny sought to accommodate all the people who asked, "When can I tell my story?" And to encourage those who doubted they had a story worth telling. Pelican Art Gallery provides a stage and a microphone, a theme to inspire and shape the evening, a lively and supportive audience, and Pokorny to host and guide the festivities.
West Side Stories are limited to five minutes, and ten stories are heard.
