Fairgrounds Worker Robbed Of Cash At Gunpoint: Santa Rosa PD
The suspect had a gun and wore a bandanna over his face when he demanded money from an employee at Sonoma County Fairgrounds, police said.
SANTA ROSA, CA — A reward of up to $2,500 is offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in the armed robbery Wednesday of a Sonoma County Fairgrounds employee, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.
At 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, SRPD dispatchers received a report that a worker collecting money for event parking was robbed at gunpoint at the fairgrounds located at 1350 Bennett Valley Road.
The 58-year-old woman told police that a man wearing a bandanna over his face approached her, pointed a gun at her and demanded cash, SRPD Sgt. David Linscomb said in a news release.

"He grabbed a bag of cash from her before running off toward the Jockey Club on the east side of the parking lot near Gordon Lane," Linscomb said. "Patrol officers searched for the suspect but did not find him."
The suspect was described as a short man who spoke English with an accent, possibly Filipino.

The victim told police that earlier, she saw the suspect loitering near the parking lot.
"The woman was not injured in the altercation," Linscomb said. "Her name is not being released due to the violent nature of the crime."
The Sonoma County Alliance "Take Back Our Community Program" is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the robbery suspect or suspects. Anyone with information related to the suspect or incident is asked to call the Santa Rosa Police Department at 707-543-3600.
