UPDATED: Arrest Made in Thursday's Dillon Beach Fatal Shooting; Kin Sought for Victim, 19

Marin County Sheriff's Office released one suspect. Another was arrested on suspicion of murder.

From the Marin County Sheriff's Office:

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division and Coroner Division are continuing to attempt to locate a next of kin for the victim. The victim’s identity will not be released at this time.
  
Initially two subjects were detained for further questioning. One of the subjects a 53 year old male from Dillon Beach has been released at this time.
  
The second subject, Ken Neville a 56 year old male from Dillon Beach, has been arrested for PC 187- Murder. Neville has been booked into the Marin County Jail.

The Marin County Sheriff's Office is still questioning two men who were detained after a fatal shooting in the Lawson's Landing campground of Dillon Beach early this morning.

Deputies responded around 2:30 a.m. to a report of a disturbance at a trailer, sheriff's Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

While en route, the deputies learned one person was shot by an occupant of the trailer, Scardina said.

A 19-year-old Marin County man was pronounced dead at the scene, and two men, ages 53 and 55, were detained for questioning, Scardina said.

The victim and two detained men are acquaintances, Scardina said.

"We're trying to establish their relationship. We don't believe they are blood related," Scardina said.

Several handguns were recovered at the scene, Scardina said.

No one has been arrested or booked in the Marin County jail as of 12:15 p.m., Scardina said.

Thursday, March 20, 8:19 a.m.  

A man was killed this morning at a Marin County campground near Tomales Bay this morning, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at Lawson's Landing, a campground area near Dillon Beach, at about 2:30 a.m., Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Scardina said. The man succumbed to his injuries, he said.

Scardina said two people have been detained for questioning, but no arrests were made as of 5:45 a.m. Both people taken in for questioning knew the victim, according to Scardina.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Further information about the shooting was not immediately available.
