Fire Delays Northbound SMART Train
The brush fire in Novato delayed Train 16 into Sonoma County.

NORTH BAY, CA — A fire late Wednesday morning in Novato delayed a northbound SMART train, the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit said.
At 11:23 a.m., SMART said northbound Train 16 was delayed 20 minutes.
On a normal weekday schedule, northbound 16 reaches Petaluma at 11:36 a.m., Cotati at 11:49 a.m., Rohnert Park at 11:53 a.m., downtown Santa Rosa at 12:01 p.m., Santa Rosa North at 12:05 p.m. and the Sonoma County Airport at 12:11 p.m.

By 1:06 p.m., trains were once again running on schedule, SMART officials said on Twitter.
Meanwhile, crews continued to battle the Dolcini Fire for several hours. Forward progress of the blaze on Point Reyes Petaluma Road was stopped around 3:50 p.m., authorities said.

Just before 5 p.m., the Dolcini Fire was 60 percent contained.
