Four Sonoma State Students Busted Allegedly Making, Selling Drugs
The suspects, ages 21 to 22, are in Sonoma jail.
Rohnert Park public safety officers arrested four Sonoma State University students Tuesday on suspicion of manufacturing narcotics and possession of marijuana for sale.
The investigation began when officers responded to a report of a person acting suspiciously inside and outside a Chase Bank, police said.
Officers contacted Benjamin Lalor, 22, of Rohnert Park in the parking lot and found evidence of illegal narcotics activity in his vehicle, police said.
Lalor agreed to go with the officers to his residence on San Mateo Court, police said. Officers found three other men living there and consent was given to search the house, police said.
Officers found a drug lab used to manufacture controlled substances, large amounts of processed marijuana for sale, prescription medications, brass knuckles and a throwing star used in martial arts, police said.
Officers arrested Lalor, James Taylor, 22, Kyle McReynolds, 21, and Jeffrey Moeser, 22, all Sonoma State University students, according to police.
They were booked in the Sonoma County jail on suspicion of manufacturing narcotics and possession of marijuana for sale.
