The Helen Putnam Park Challenge Grant Campaign is underway.
The Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation has recently announced that it has finalized an agreement with an anonymous donor for a $50,000 challenge grant benefiting Helen Putnam Regional Park in #Petaluma.
Over the next two years, funds raised by the Parks Foundation to benefit Putnam Park will be matched dollar-for-dollar by this donor, up to a total match of $50,000!
Donate now to help bring much-needed renovation and enhancement to this important, well-used #Petaluma park.
Those who frequent Helen Putnam Park will understand the need for priority attention to these projects:
Trail Renovation (including but not limited to):
*Re-routing minor trail segments, improving drainage, and reducing erosion.
*Restoring and decommissioning unauthorized trails.
*Creating and installing trail way-finding signage.
*Acquiring required permits and approvals (if any) for trail renovation.
*Other activities to improve the visitor experience and ecological performance of the existing trail system.
Here is a great article that was in the Petaluma Argus Courier about this opportunity. http://www.petaluma360.com/new...
