Help Name Baby Giraffe At Safari West, The Sonoma Serengeti

We prefer "Patches" but which name do you think best suits this 6-foot baby boy? Here's how to cast your vote.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A brand new baby giraffe was born Feb. 13 right here in Sonoma County at Safari West. The 6-foot newborn tipped the scales at 130 pounds.

The big boy is ready to meet his fans when The Sonoma Serengeti reopens Feb. 27; there is just one problem: he needs a name and Safari West is looking to its fans for help with that.

The park has narrowed it to five names —Valentino, Dobby, Patches, Vino or Ollie — and is letting fans make the final decision.
