Help Police Identify Suspect In Trailer Theft

Police are seeking the driver of a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup truck, possibly a crew cab, in connection with the theft of a dump trailer.

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police released images in the recent theft of a trailer in the hopes someone in the public recognizes the suspect's vehicle.

Surveillance camera footage showed the trailer being hauled away at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday from a parking lot in the 100 block of Stony Point Road in Petaluma, police said.

The stolen trailer, police said, was a 2007 Big Tex 2-axle dump trailer with the California license plate number 4JH8890.

Footage showed the suspect left in a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup truck, possibly a crew cab, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident, the suspect's identity or where the trailer may be is asked to call the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372.
