Homeless Man Arrested For Alleged Assault With Deadly Weapon
The attack was Wednesday night near the Mary Isaak Center in Petaluma, officials said.

PETALUMA, CA – A 54-year-old transient was arrested after allegedly using a large piece of rebar to repeatedly strike and injure a man Wednesday night near the Mary Isaak Center on the 900 block of Hopper Street in Petaluma, according to authorities.
Arriving officers found the victim shortly before 9 p.m. with a laceration on his upper arm and injuries to his lower leg, the Petaluma Police Department said today.
The alleged attacker, David Larkin Papazian, ran off after the assault, police said. He was was identified by the victim and witnesses, who claimed Papazian "was the aggressor during the incident," the department said.

He was found nearby, arrested and booked for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $30,000, police said.
The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.
