Lakeville Highway Reopens After Cement Truck Overturns

CHP reported two trucks — one with a cement mixer — collided and both ended up facing the wrong way.

PETALUMA, CA — A collision involving a Dodge Ram and a Chevrolet Silverado shut down Lakeville Highway near South McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma on Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

No injuries were immediately reported in the 10:41 a.m. collision.

A truck with a cement mixer overturned, and both trucks were reported to be facing the wrong way on the right shoulder of the road, the CHP said.

Lakeview Highway was closed between Frates Road and Browns Lane, and traffic was diverted off Lakeville Highway at those intersections, according to Petaluma police.

Shortly before noon, police said the roadway had since reopened.
