Local Band Desperately Seeking Funds to Perform at Disneyland
Kenilworth JHS Band is hosting a fundraiser to send the band to perform in Southern CA at Disneyland and Shriners Hospital for Children

The Kenilworth Junior High School (KJHS) Band will be embarking on a musical performance trip to Los Angeles in March 2015. Their goal is to send all of their 7th and 8th grade musicians on this enriching experience, regardless of personal financial situation.
They hope for strong community support and generosity to help them reach their goal of sending all one hundred deserving KJHS musicians on this journey!
The trip will include a performance at Shriners Hospital for Children and at Disneyland, as well as an invaluable musical studio workshop with a professional Disney music conductor. Through music education and experiences like these, students learn discipline, perseverance, pride, courage, compassion and composure. These experiences have proven to be seminal experiences for the students who cherish them for their lifetime.
Due to the economic times, it’s been a financial hardship for a significant percentage of the student musicians to participate. The band aims to raise $45,000 to ensure that all their musicians will have equal opportunity to experience this life changing journey.
