Man Exposes Himself, Pees Near Diners While Another Punches Officer After Fight: PPD

A suspect allegedly punched an officer, while another reportedly exposed himself and urinated near diners during a disturbance in downtown.

PETALUMA, CA — A downtown fight Friday evening ended with two Petaluma men in jail after one suspect allegedly struck a police officer during an arrest and another reportedly exposed himself and urinated near dozens of restaurant patrons, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Petaluma police arrested two men following a fight in downtown Petaluma that escalated into additional criminal allegations, including battery on a police officer and indecent exposure.

Officers responded at about 6:27 p.m. Friday to the 100 block of Petaluma Boulevard North after receiving reports of two people fighting, according to police.

Investigators said officers contacted Patrick Facundo, 56, of Petaluma, as he walked away from the area. Facundo allegedly ignored commands to stop, and police said he struck an officer in the face while officers attempted to arrest him.

Police also stopped Daniel Randall, 44, of Petaluma, who allegedly showed signs of alcohol intoxication. Witnesses told officers Randall urinated on the ground near an outdoor dining area where about 30 people were eating.

Both men were arrested and booked into the Sonoma County Jail. The incident remains under investigation.
