Man Found Dead On Sonoma Co. Coast Identified

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A man found dead at Goat Rock State Beach on the Sonoma Coast Wednesday afternoon has been identified as 73-year-old Francis Molloy of Healdsburg, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

Molloy's girlfriend reported him missing Wednesday after he did not return home from work the night before, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Molloy's body was found at the base of a cliff near the water around 1:30 p.m.

An autopsy Monday will determine if the injuries on his body are from a firearm or from falling on rocks at the beach, Crum said.
