Morning Walks In East Petaluma: Photos Of The Day
After we shared some photos Wednesday of a West Petaluma sunset, we received two more lovely photos but of East Petaluma.
PETALUMA, CA — After we shared some photos Wednesday of a West Petaluma sunset, we received two more lovely photos but of East Petaluma. Patch reader Wendy Snow sent in images of a graceful blue heron and a brilliant sunrise — both of which were taken near the Petaluma Municipal Airport, 601 Sky Ranch Drive.
Wendy told Patch she walks her dog many a morning, and in the process of doing so, runs across some amazing sights.
She took the sunrise shot Jan. 22, and the heron shot the next morning, Jan. 23, as the bird appeared to be "looking for breakfast," she said in an email to Patch.

According to a quick Google search:
"In Native North American tradition, a Blue Heron brings messages of self-determination and self-reliance. They represent an ability to progress and evolve. The long thin legs of the heron reflect that an individual doesn't need great massive pillars to remain stable, but must be able to stand on one's own."
Thanks so much for sharing these lovely images, Wendy!
