Music at the Redwood Café!
November 4 from 6-9pm presents Rock Overtime. Mark Benanti performs with his “Rock Overtime” school of rock students. They rehearse for one month, then perform on the 1st Tuesday of every month here at Redwood Cafe in Cotati. These shows are always a lot of fun, come check out Mark and his students rocking out! Mark has taught music classes at the University of South Carolina, Converse College, Wofford College and Santa Rosa Junior College. He has recently self-published a book of guitar studies designed to help students improve their classical guitar technique. His diverse musical interests have led him to the study and performance of a wide-range of musical styles including classical, jazz, rock, blues, country, bluegrass and world music. Mark’s classical guitar repertoire includes music from all of the Classical Music eras with considerable interest in Latin American Music.

November 7 from 9pm-12am Bear’s Belly performs with $7 cover Bear’s Belly is an original Folk Americana trio from Santa Rosa, CA. Members include Shawna Miller on vocals and keys, Joe Clopton on vocals and guitar and Zackary Miller on upright bass. Their signature sound revolves around the harmony vocals of Joe and Shawna, fluctuating from beautiful and hypnotic to gravelly and gritty. Bear’s Belly’s music breathes and takes on a life of its own in the warm, organic sound of this Sonoma County band.
