National Competition Seeking Art from Teen Artists

Winner will be flown to Washington, D.C. and have their work displayed near the Capitol.

Calling all teen artists!

Rep. Lynn Woolsey, who represents Petaluma in Congress, is looking for local entries from high school artists for the 2012 Congressional High School Art Competition. 

The winner and a guest will be flown to Washington, D.C. and have their artwork displayed in the Cannon Tunnel, a busy corridor that leads to the Capitol Building and is used daily by members of Congress and visitors to Washington.

Interested students must submit their artwork by Monday, April 2 to Rep. Woolsey’s Santa Rosa office at 1101 College Avenue, Suite 200 in Santa Rosa.  All entries should be original in concept, design, and execution. 

Local judges will determine the top submissions and three winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 5 at 6:00 pm at the Redwood Credit Union at 3033 Cleveland Avenue, Suite 100 in Santa Rosa.
